Steel Processing

Our investment in precision sawing offers 13 fully automatic CNC cutting centres, sawing up to 660mm diameter, and two circular disc cutting lines, which provide high speed precision cutting. This allows us to offer greater capacity for those 'just in time' orders.

 

Marking

Here at Cogne we understand our customers' needs. Clearer identification on metal means fewer margins for error. That's why we have invested in high-speed, low-stress computerised marking equipment, which is fully programmable and can be tailored for customers' needs.

 

Testing

More demands have recently been put on our customers to ensure Positive Material Identification (PMI).

This is an integral part of process safety management within Cogne, aligned to many other industries including the petroleum refining and petrochemical industries. We offer materials testing to provide verification of metal alloy grade and composition.

 

Packaging & Handling

All our metals are packaged to meet customers' requirements. We provide palletising & shrink-wrapping on euro pallets to protect goods, and a proven Kanban facility to ensure replenishment of customers' stocks.

There is duality of machinery at Don Road to satisfy customers' requirements. We have 7 overhead cranes with lifting capacity up to 10 tonne, 7 Fork Lift Trucks of varying types and 9 sets of electronic digital scales.

 

Distribution

Our new delivery service operates daily across the whole of the UK, offering a prompt, reliable and efficient service.

 

Other Services

We supply a full range of additional services, including heat treatment, machining, mechanical testing, non destructive testing and deep hole boring. We can also undertake customers' additional testing, including external third-party witness inspection.
